Madeline Gatza 89 of La Salle passed away Thursday night February 5 at 8:46PM in Manor Court in Peru. A Funeral Mass will be Monday Feb 9th at 10:30 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. Reverend Paul Carlson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday Feb 8 in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle from 4 to 7. A rosary will be said at 3:45. Additional visitation will be Monday in St. Hyacinth Church from 9:30 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born on Aug 6, 1925 in Peru to Frank and Concetta (DeMatteo) Colmone.
She married Raymond F Gatza Sr. on July3rd, 1948 in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in La Salle.
She belonged to St, Hyacinth Church in La Salle.
She is survived by:
2 sons: Frank (Debbie) Gatza of La Salle and Ray (Desiree) Gatza Jr. of Peru
2 daughters: Lottie (Rick) Gorski of Washington, IL and Connie (Tom) Credi of Peru.
1 brother: Jack (Joan) Colmone of Oglesby, 1 sister: Connie Tonarelli La Salle
She is preceded in death by: her husband in 2003, 6 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 grandson at infancy.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Frank Jr., Vincent, Joseph, Timothy, Andrew, Raymond III Gatza, Michael Credi, and Jason Gorski.
