Obituary for Betty Pietrucha
Betty L. Pietrucha 75 of LaSalle Passed away in her residence Thursday March 20 at 1:21 AM surrounded by her family after battling cancer for a year. Visitation will be Monday March 24 from 5 to 8 in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle, with a service at 7:30. Reverend Paul Carlson of LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Betty was born on December 20, 1938 in LaSalle to Frank and Mary (Grilj) Pietrucha. She was employed by Illinois valley Food Center formerly Ferretti’s in LaSalle for 46 years in the Deli / Clerk. She was a past member of St. Roch’s Church in LaSalle. She belongs to the American Slovenian Catholic Union (K.S.K.J.) and most of all a loyal Cubs Fan. Survivors: 6 Nieces: Pam (Jay) Allen, Stephanie Pietrucha, Beth (Gary) Gingerich, Lisa (Chris) Nave, Jennifer and Gina Valenzuela 6 Nephews: Bill, Randy (Tina), Chris Toner, Edward (Jami), Gilbert (Amie) , Joseph Valenzuela. 1 sister in law: Marcella Pietrucha 1 brother in law: William Toner Proceeded by: Parents, 1 brother Frank JR., 2 sisters Mary Ann Valenzuela and Dolores Toner, 1 nephew Robert Valenzuela In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
