Obituary
Lillian Owcarz 90 of Chicago formerly of LaSalle died September 25 at 1:00 PM in LaSalle.
A funeral mass will be Monday October 1st in St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle at 11:30 AM. The Very Reverend Paul Carlson Pastor of La Salle Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Valentines Cemetery in Spring Valley. Visitation will be Monday in the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
She was born February 7, 1928 in Kewanee IL to William Walker and Edith (Hack) Walker Gawenda.
She married John Owcarz on May 18, 1946 in St. Valentines Church Peru.
She dedicated her life in being a homemaker. She was employed in various restaurants and factory jobs prior to her wedding.
She is survived by:
3 Daughters: Edith Owcarz of Chicago, Dolores Sanchez of La Salle, Mary (James) Rue of Clearlake Oaks CA.
1 Grandson: Joseph Sanchez of Oglesby
1 Great Grandson: Dash Burgess of Oglesby.
She is preceded in death by:
Husband John (February 28, 1980),
2 Sons: John Jr. in infancy, and Donald (April 18, 2006)
3 Brothers: Russell, William and Donald Walker
1 Sister: Doris Scott
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association in her name.
