Obituary for Mildred "Millie" Bruski
Mildred “Millie” Bruski 91 of Peru passed away Saturday January 8 at 2:32 PM at St. Margaret’s Health in Peru. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial mass will be Saturday January 15 at 10:30 at St. Mary’s Church in Peru. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 9 until the time of services. Mask are required in the church. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle in handling the arrangements.
Milly was born on November 21, 1930 in St. Mary’s Hospital in La Salle to Pearle and Margaret (Bennett) Thompson.
She married Thomas J. Bruski in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle on September 1, 1951. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage.
She was in the medical field as a Nurse’s Aide for some years being employed by IVCH in Peru, and Heritage Manor in Peru. She also worked for the News Tribune. Later in life she cherished being home and playing a major role in taking care of her grandchildren. She loved her time with family and friends. She was member of St. Mary’s Church in Peru.
She is survived by:
2 Sons Michael and Thomas Bruski both of Peru.
4 grandchildren: Amie (Gil) Valenzuela, Cara (Brian Mule) Bruski, Jenna and Kaylee Bruski.
2 great-grandchildren: Abby and Molly Valenzuela.
1 Brother: John (Carol) Thompson of Warrenville, IL.
2 Sisters: Marguerite Murphy of Aurora Il., and Anna (Tom) Schweickart of Belleville, IL.

She is preceded in death by: her husband (2011), 4 siblings.
