Obituary for Betty Pelszynski
Betty Pelszynski 88 of Peru passed away on September 16 at 4 AM at Manor Court in Princeton with family at her side. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
Betty was born on March 24, 1933 to Albert and Mary (Allen) Crews in Granville Il.
She married Richard Pelszynski on December 28, 1957 in La Salle.
She was mainly a homemaker cherishing each day of taking care of her family. For over 15 years she worked in the private sector for a family in the Illinois Valley.
She cherished spending time with family and friends. She had a passion for cross stitching, and crocheting. At times she would enjoy going to the river boats. She was an avid Cubs fan. One of her traits that will mostly be remembered by family and friends was her straight forwardness when giving her opinion.
She is survived by:
2 daughters: Pam (John) Senica Jr. of Oglesby, and Cathy (John) Lesperance of Spring Valley.
1 son: Richard Pelszynski Jr. of Princeton.
6 grandchildren: Johnny, Brandee, Stacie, Joshua, Ahlyssa and Ricky.
8 great-grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her husband of 50 years (2008), 6 brothers and 6 sisters.
