.Josefina (Sanchez) Marquez 69 of Marseilles passed away Saturday October 8 at 11:12AM in OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. A Funeral mass will Friday October 14 at noon in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. Father Paul Carlson Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Utica will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Church from 10 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
She was born in Maria De La Torre Mexico July 10, 1947 to Jose Eliseo and Marina (Avalos) Sanchez.
She married Manuel Marquez on June 24, 1971 in Mexico.
She dedicated herself in loving and caring of her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends.
She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle, and St. Joseph Church in Marseilles.
Survivors are:
1 Son: Manuel (Deanna) Marquez of Lowell IL
3 Daughters: Josephine Marquez of Secor, IL
Martha (Daniel) Graves of Marseilles, IL
Maricela Marquez of Mendota, IL
5 Grandchildren: Juliana, Arianna, Alessandra, Lilliana, and Olivia
4 Brothers: Eusevio, Erasto, Armando, Pedro Antonio Sanchez all of Mexico
7 Sisters: Amparo, Aurora, Graciela, Margarita, Armida, Martha Elena, Anglica Maria Sanchez all of Mexico
Along with several nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by: Father (2014), Mother 2008, and her husband (2003)
