Judy Swierkosz, 78, of LaSalle died at 5:50 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2016, in Cabin Livin for Seniors, Hennepin, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 4 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Burgess Funeral Home, LaSalle. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5 from 10:00-11:00 AM in St. Hyacinth’s Church. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in St. Hyacinth’s Church. Rev. Jacob Valle officiating. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
Judy was born on August 27, 1938, in LaSalle to Cyril and Cecile (Kays) Gehm.
She married Aloysius “Stoney” Swierkosz on November 12, 1960, in St. Hyacinth’s Church, where she is a member.
She was employed for 39 years by St. Mary’s Hospital in La Salle and IVCH in Peru as a Nurse.
Survivors are: 1 sister Sally Mareta of Tonica,
1 son Kevin Swierkosz of LaSalle,
3 daughters: Cathy (Robert) Warren of Colorado, Beth Swierkosz of Springfield, IL and Lynn Rose (Brian) Thomson of Canada
5 grandchildren: Salina, Danielle, Shawn, Christina, and Jenna, 1 great grandson Landon, and nieces and nephew
Preceded in death by; her husband (2005), 1 brother Jack and 1 sister Norma
