Virginia “Jean” Kasprak 99 of LaSalle passed away peacefully on September 9th. A funeral mass will be
on Friday, September 16th at 11am at St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth
Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9am-11am. Father Thomas Otto Pastor of
LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the
arrangements.
She was born on August 21, 1923 in LaSalle to Ladislaus and Mary Veronica (Kowalski) Sobkowiak.
She married the love of her life, Edmund Kasprak, on August 31st, 1946 in St. Hyacinth Church. They
were married for 59 years before his passing.
She was a lifetime member of St. Hyacinth Church and she belonged to the VFW Auxiliary.
She cherished being a devoted wife, a mother, and in the later years truly enjoyed watching her
grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She loved playing bingo with her friends and baking. She
will always be remembered for her famous cut out cookies, zucchini bread, coffee cake and all the love
and support she gave to her family and friends.
She is survived by:
One daughter: Carol (Wayne) Zebron of LaSalle.
Five grandchildren: Gary (Terri) Zebron of Muskego, WI, Brian (Abby) Zebron of Utica, Jeff (Gina) Zebron
of Arlington Heights, IL, Michelle (Jay) Wisbey of Salina, KS, and Michael (Nicole) Kasprak of Utica.
Ten great-grandchildren
One daughter-in-law: Linda (Jim) Kasprak of LaSalle
Two sister-in-laws: Luella Sobkowiak of Peru and Rita Sobkowiak of Charlottesville, VA.
Her very special dear friend: Janette Crane, whom the family is very grateful for her friendship.

Her husband (Edmund) in 2006. Her beloved son (James) in 2003, six brothers and one sister.
