Stanley F. Lasik
Stanley F. Lasik, age 75, of Piety Hill/Oglesby passed away on March 14 at 5:21PM at Heritage Health in Peru, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family burial will be at a later date per his request. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
Stan was born on April 6, 1939 to Stanley S. Lasik and Irene (Gaidzik) Lasik.
Stan was a member of Ironworkers Local 386 and Local 444 and retired in 1991. He was an avid hunter, self-taught wood carver, enjoyed wood burning and painting. He enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin in the summer and the sunshine and warm weather in Texas in the winter. Stan loved to spend time with family and friends, whether Up North or down in the Valley in Texas. Stan especially enjoyed his granddaughter, Lauren, when she came to visit in Wisconsin during the summer and learned to tube on the “Big Chip”.
Stan is survived by his wife of 56 years Dorothy (Simmons) Lasik, two children Darryl Lasik of Piety Hill and Cyndi Lasik of Burr Ridge, Illinois. He is also survived by his Mother, Irene Lasik of LaSalle, his brother Don (Helen) Lasik of Utica, sister Jeannette (Gerry) Essl of Dallas, Texas and one grandchild, Lauren Ernat of Fairfax, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley S. Lasik and his brothers David Lasik and Kenneth Lasik in infancy.
