Obituary for Shelby Jean Housby
Shelby Jean “Hag a Bag” Housby 73 of Jacksonville Florida and formerly of LaSalle passed away August 23 at 11:15AM in Bureau Illinois. Visitation will be Monday August 29 from 9 to 11 in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. Services will be at 11 in the Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Rayson Pastor of the LaSalle Catholic Churches will officiate. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery in Peru. She was born on August 31, 1937 to William Henry and Helen Serena (Downs) Perkins in Stiles Kentucky. She married Donald Coan Sr. in September of 1983. He passed away in July of 1984. She married James Housby in Ottawa, Illinois in May of 1990. She was a Housekeeper for over 50 years and was employed by such places as Starved Rock, Motel 6, Heritage Manor of Peru, and others Survivors; Her husband, 3 Sons; Brian and Lisa Coan of Mark, IL, Donald and LuAnn Coan Jr. of Dixon IL, Jeremy and Erika Dunaway of Paris Island SC. 2 Daughters: Lori and Joseph Newell of Lacon, IL, and Betty Dailey of Wheeling, WV. 2 Step-Sons: Mark Guyon of Peoria, IL and John Smith of Georgia. 2 Step-Daughters: Lisa and Nick Carrico of Oglesby, IL and Besty Cisek of Oglesby IL. 4 Brothers: Joseph Perkins of Shabbona, IL, James and Pat Perkins of Las Vegas NV, Leo and Gerry Perkins of Earlville IL, Hank and Shirley Perkins of Sycamore IL. 2 Sisters: Nancy and Joe Suddeth of Shabbona, IL, and Margert and Bill Starkey of Iowa. 11 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her 1st husband and 2 grandchildren Pallbearers will be: Stephen and Kevin Hensley, Mike Bland, Mark Jonas, Randy Moreno, Nick Carrico, Anthony Balzarini, and Stephen Nicholas Borostowski.
