Sethimo 'Seth' J Sorrentino, 87, of Peru. , passed away at 12:31 PM, Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 at IL. VALLEY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 13th, with Rev. Harold Datzman ,OSB officiating. Burial in St. Vincent's Cemetery Visitation will be held on Saturday 9:00 - until time of services in Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle Born in LaSalle, on January 2, 1926, to Anton and Carmela (DiCarlo) Sorrentino. He served in the U.S. Marines in WW II in Iwo Jima and Guam Worked for the City of LaSalle as a supervisor for the Water Department for many years Member of St. Joseph's Church, Former member of Resurrection Church Past Member of LaSalle Fire Department, and past commander of South Shore Boat Club Married Theresa Kilter on July 26, 1947 in St. Roch's Church in LaSalle Survivors 2 Daughters, Linda (Dan) Ferrari of Peru. Mary Beth (Jeff) Herron of Peru. 1 Son, David (Grace) Sorrentino of Springfield IL. 6 Grandchildren Laura Glossop, Gina Sorrentino, Luke and Krist Ferrari, and Kalli and Samantha Herron 4 Great Grandchildren, Grant Glossop and Sophia, Seth, and Gino Ferrari Preceded in death by Parents, Wife in 2012, Daughter Mary Rose in 1964, and 6 Brothers In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities Full Military will be conducted by the LaSalle-Oglesby Veterens Group Online condolences may be viewed and express at www.burgessfh.com
