Obituary for Ruth Mis
Ruth Mis 94 of LaSalle passed away Saturday Feb 8 at 10:34PM in OSF Healthcare in Peoria. Visitation will be Friday Feb 14 at 10AM until the time of services in St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle. A funeral mass will be at 11:30 with Reverend Paul Carlson Parochial Vicar of LaSalle Parishes officiating. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery at a later date. Ruth was born on October 6, 1919 in People’s Hospital in Peru to Joseph and Mary (Jakubiak) Borkoski. She married John “Johnnie” Mis on October 1, 1947 in St. Mary’s Church in Peru. She was employed by Westclox in Peru, and the Igloo in Peru where she first met her husband Johnnie. She belonged to St. Hyacinth Church, St. Hyacinth Altar and Rosary, and was a member of St. Hyacinth School Mother’s Club. She is survived by; 2 daughters; Dr. Kim Mis of the Felician Sisters in Chicago, Caryn (Hassen) Bensmida of Palatine, IL 2 grandchildren; Jenna and Tarek Bensmida She is preceded in death by her brother Raymond (in early childhood) her parents, her husband of 62 years (2009), a son Alan (1989) Online condolences may be expressed on line at http://www.burgessfh.com/
