Obituary for Rose M. Smith
Rose M. Smith 81 of Ottawa passed away peacefully with her sons at her side on September 7 at Ottawa Pavilion in Ottawa. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be Saturday September 17 at 12:30, at Oakwood Park in Ottawa.
She was born on December 29, 1940 at Rayburn Hospital in Ottawa to James and Florence (Gettler) Coleman.
She was involved for many years with Catholic Charities in La Salle, and Project Noah. She was the care taker over the years.
She loved her family, taking care of Jack and cherish her friends. Collecting arrowheads stamps and coins was very exciting to her.
She is survived by:
Three Sons: Randy (Wendy) Smith of Ottawa, Mark (Cindy Williams) Smith of Ottawa, and Steve (Marie) Smith of Ottawa.
Three Sisters: Margaret Rasmussen, Sharon Partridge, and Sue Coleman.
Eighteen Grandchildren, and Ten Great-Grandchildren.
Many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, one son (Jack), and an infant son at birth (James), and one brother Ron Coleman.
