Obituary for Ronald "RP" Pawlak
Ronald “RP” Pawlak 77 of Utica passed away October 21 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa. Visitation will be Tuesday October 26 from 4 to 7 at the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. A Scripture Service will be at 6:30. Father Gregory Jarzombek of St. Bede Abbey will officiate. Burial will be private at a later date.
He was born on February 4, 1944 in Cicero IL to Walter and Rose (Kosmecki) Pawlak.
He married the love of his life Mary Morrissey on Mach 16, 1974 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Utica.
He was employed for 35 years by Sundstrand, (Sauer-Danfoss) as a machinist.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He coached Little and Senior League Baseball in LaSalle, and Utica. He enjoyed his gardening in which several people reaped the rewards of his garden. In the fall and winter, he put away his gardening tools and pick up his shot gun to do some hunting. He always attempted to find time to watch his two favorite teams; the cubs and bears. He loved being with family and friends, and cherish the time he could be with his grandchildren. For 25 years to the present, he dedicated himself to serving the people of Utica as a Trustee.
He is survived by: his wife of 47 years.
1 Daughter: Bonnie (Rick) Hartman of LaSalle.
2 Sons: Don “Odie” Pawlak and Pete (Jody) Pawlak both of Utica.
7 Grandchildren: Corey, Marissa, Autumn, Maria, Payton, Grayson and Gabe.
2 Great Grandchildren: August and Marianna.
1 Sister: Donna (Jan) Ferris of Jackson Michigan.
1 niece
He is preceded in death by: his parents and 1 nephew (Jon Ferris)
