LaSalleRonald Kent Chadwick (Ron), 78, of North Utica (formally of Polson, Montana) passed away May 12, 2021, at Pleasant View Lutheran Home in Ottawa.On May 14, a private family service was held at St. Mary’s Church. Fr. Michael Driscoll, Pastor,officiated. The Burgess Funeral Home assisted the family. Ron was born in Lynwood, California, to Fred D. and Ruth A. (Black) Chadwick on April 23, 1943. He married Adriane K. Dewey on Christmas Eve, 1983, in Long Beach, California.Ron was an astute businessman who owned and operated several commercial construction companies and real estate ventures throughout the course of his long career.An avid outdoorsman, at age 44, Ron fulfilled his lifelong goal of moving to Polson, Montana, where the purple mountains, blue skies and clear waters had called to him since he was a child. There, he became an accomplished marksman and hunter, participating in many tournaments, competitions and once-in-a-lifetime hunts, including a triumphant grizzly hunt in the Alaskan wilderness.More than his love for the outdoors was his love for his family and friends. From his four headstrong daughters and beloved wife, to the friends he turned into family along the way, Ron was always there with a helping hand, tough love and a few quick-witted pieces of advice. Ron is survived by his wife of 39 years, Adriane, and four daughters: Jami Barbiero, of Salt LakeCity, Utah; Erinn Hatker, of Lago Vista, Texas; Amanda Elliott, of Trabuco Canyon, California; and Alyse Chung, of Aledo, Texas.He is blessed with eight grandchildren: Christian and A.j. Barbiero, Paige and Rachel Fielding, Jake and Payton Elliott, and Brecken and Eric Chung. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Brett Dewey, and his nephew, Christopher Dewey.He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruth Chadwick, and one brother. Online condolences may be expressed at www.burgessfh.com
