Obituary for Robert M. Zeman
Robert M. Zeman 54 of La Salle passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 25. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Saturday July 23 in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle at 11. Reverend Gary Blake Pastor of Peru Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be Saturday in the funeral home from 9 until the time of services, The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
Robert was born on January 4, 1968 at Peoples Hospital in Peru to Joseph and Rosemary (Kazmierczak) Zeman.
He was a graduate of Lp High School in 1986, and also attended IVCC.
He married Florence Considine of June 12, 1993.
For 8 years was a “CNC Operator at La Salle Machine Manufacturing. He was employed by Caterpillar in Montgomery, and Decatur IL. for 23 years, as a line worker, then a supervisor.
He loved spending time with his children, family and friends. He had a passion for cooking and grilling. He enjoyed playing cards, mostly Texas Hold’em. Coaching his son’s baseball team or watching his daughter play ball was a joy to him. He enjoyed all pets, and watching a good movie.
He is survived by:
1 Son: Duncan Robert Zeman of Peru, 1 Daughter: Julie Ann Zeman of Peru.
His mom: Rosemary Zeman of La Salle.
3 Brothers: David (Patti) Zeman of Whitleyville, TN., Ed (Sheila) Zeman of Ottawa, and Jim (Jeanne) Zeman of Peru.
2 Sisters: Angela (Chris) Wren of La Salle, and Debra (Al) Kline of Dimmick.
Many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: his dad (2015), Paternal and Maternal Grandparents.
