Ralph “Plo” Bacidore
Ralph "Plo" Bacidore 88 of Peru, and formally of La Salle, passed away in his home on Friday March 13 at 4:20PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 17 at 12:30 in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in La Salle. The very Reverend Dittmer will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be Monday March 16 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be Tuesday in the Funeral Home from 11:30 until the time of services.
Plo was born on January 26, 1927 in La Salle to Antonio and Elvira (Gazbarre) Bacidore.
He married Deanna Rybarczyk on May 25, 1957 in St. Valentine’s Church in Peru.
He was a carpenter for over 50 years until his retirement and a lifelong member of the Carpenters Union Local 195. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle, and a former member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary in La Salle. In serving the city of LaSalle, he was a volunteer fireman for 25 years, a 1 st Ward Alderman for 6 years, City Building Inspector and a member of the La Salle Park and Recreation Board for many years. He was also one of the original board members for the Illinois Valley Youth Football League.
He is survived by his wife Deanna, two sons: Greg (Cindy) Bacidore of La Salle, and Randy (Karen) Bacidore of Riverside, IL, daughter Becky (John) Meggesin of St. Charles, IL, and 3 grandchildren: Nathan, Nina and Isabela Bacidore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Bacidore, and sister Laura Stuart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in honor of his favorite charities.
