Obituary for Phyllis Stachowicz
Phyllis Stachowicz 88 of Peru formally of LaSalle died Tuesday December 13 9:24PM in OFS Medical Center in Peoria. A funeral mass will be Friday December 16 at 10:30 in St. Patrick Church in La Salle. The Very Reverend Paul Carlson Pastor of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Valentine Cemetery in Spring Valley. Visitation will be Friday in the Church from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She was born on January 22, 1928 in La Salle to Jack and Sophie (Kierski) Koontz.
She married Joseph “Stack “Stachowicz on February 8, 1947 in St. Patrick Church in La Salle.
She was employed by Westclox, and she cherish being a homemaker to her family
She was a member of St. Patrick Church.
She is survived by;
2 Sons: David (Joanne) Stachowicz and Joseph (Mary) Stachowicz both of La Salle
2 Daughters: Linda (Larry) Rybarczyk of La Salle and Sue (Michael) Ruppert of Sugarland Texas.
8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren
1 Brother: Richard (Joyce) Koontz of La Salle
1 Sister: Dorothy Curry of La Salle
She is preceded in death by: her husband (2012), parents, 1 brother Jack Koontz (2008)
Pallbearers: will be her grandchildren; Regan Rybarczyk, Rachel Digiovanni, Neill, Lauren, Kayla, Kevin Stachowicz, Michael Ruppert, Sarah Waedemon
