Obituary for Paul W. Born
Paul W. Born 95 of LaSalle passed away February 19 at 8:34PM at Manor Court in Peru. A funeral mass will Saturday February 23 at 11 AM in St. Patrick’s Church in LaSalle. The Very Reverend Paul Carlson will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Peru Veterans Memorial Group. Visitation will be in the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
He was born on June 5, 1923 in LaSalle to Paul F. and Irene (Crowley) Born.
He served his country through the branch of the Airforce in 1943.
He married Therese Farrell on June 25, 1949 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Spring Valley.
He was employed by M & H Zinc Co. and later for Foster Grant (American Hoechst) for over 20 years as an Electrical Engineer.
He was a member of Resurrection Church and later St. Patrick Church. He was a member of the Distinguish Flying Cross Association, and the Red Coats. He embraced his family and friends, following the Cubs and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by:
1 Son: William (Lisa) Born of Sugar Grove IL.
2 Daughters: Paulette (Born) Ux of LaSalle, and Barbara Born (John Mostacci) of Glen Ellyn IL.
6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
1 Sister: Jean Terando of Visalia, California.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, his wife (2015) 1 son (Robert 1975) and 1 sister.
