Paul Vowels 91 of LaSalle passed away at 9;26 A.M. Wednesday Dec. 11, 2011 in the Veterans Home of LaSalle. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Dec.14 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Hyacinth's Church. Rev. Robert Rayson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery LaSalle. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. in the Church. He was born on March 16, 1920 in LaSalle to Joseph P. & Mary (Patnoe) Vowels. He was a retired foreman at the Electric Utilities in LaSalle for many years. He served with the US Marines during WW II. He married Louise G. Brust on August 9, 1941 in St. Joseph 's Church in LaSalle. He was a member of St. Hyacinth's Church. Survivors: 2 Sons Paul L. Vowels of Peru Daniel J. (Lana) Vowels of LaSalle 7 Grandchildren 8 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister Jacqueline Besse Preceded in Death by his Parents, Wife, 1 Son, 1 Brother and 1 Sister Full military servies will be conducted by the LaSalle/Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group.
