Obituary for Patricia "Pat" Flahaut
Patricia “Pat” Flahaut passed away peacefully with her family present on January 21 at 7:45PM at Aperion Care in Spring Valley. A funeral mass will be Friday January 28 at St. Valentine Church in Peru at 11. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
She was born on September 16, 1947 at St. Margaret’s hospital in Spring Valley to John Sr. and Elanor (Grochowski) Fusinatto.
She married Paul Flahaut on February 27, 1965 at St. Valentine Church in Peru.
She was employed by Bergner’s for 20 years in retail. She was employed by the Illini Bank as a teller for 10 years. Her greatest job was being a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed seasonal decorating. She loved staying active, and truly cherish spending time with family, grandchildren and friends. Patricia was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a heart of gold full of love for everyone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years.
2 Daughters: Lisa Mynatt of Lafayette IN., and Tricia (Scott) Scanlon of Joliet.
1 Son: Paul Jr. (Melissa) Flahaut of Lafayette IN.
7 Grandchildren: Donnie, Angel, Jordan, Hailey, Joey, Jennie and Myleigh.
3 Great Grandchildren: Xavier, Cambria, and Kora.
3 Brothers: John, Mike, and Bob Fusinatto
2 Sisters: Karen Rietgraf, and Donna Evans.
Many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, and grandson Jeremy Lahay (2016)
Pallbearers will be: Donald, Jordan, Xavier, Kora Lahay, Scott, and Hailey James Scanlon, Angel Mynatt, John Jr., Mike, and Bob Fusinatto.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
