Mike (Ike/Sumo) Lawniczak 56 of Peru passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 9 at 4:30PM in his residence. A service will be held on Sunday March 13 at 4PM in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle. Pastor Brett Todd of Grace United Methodist Church in La Salle will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service. A private burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 1 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
He was born on Sept 13, 1959 in Peru to John and Anna Rose Mary (Kennett) Lawniczak
He married Karen Kolowski on April 1, 1991 in Montello WI
He worked for Complete Industrial Electrical Sales / Revere Electric for over 35 years.
He was a charter member of the Peru Sportsman Club and Staff member of Friends for Tots.

2 daughters: Melissa Turner of Peru and Patricia (Turner) (Tommy) Lamkin of Chesapeake Virginia
1 brother: Andrew Lawniczak of Peru
1 sister: Melanie (Tom) Miller of Moncks Corner SC
6 grandchildren: Nikolas, Katlynn, Sierra, Isabella, Evan, and Jesse, and several nieces and nephews
Proceded in death by: His parents and 1 brother (Tom) in 1992.
