Obituary for Michael "Mike" Carter
Michael “Mike” Carter 60 of LaSalle passed away October 10 at 2:33 AM in his residence with his family gathered at his bedside. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be from 4 PM to 7 PM Tuesday in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. A service will take place at the funeral home at 6:30 PM. Pastor Betty Delgado of Trinity United Church of Christ will officiate.
Mike was born on July 24, 1959 in St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle to Richard and Joan (Dimmick) Carter.
He married Jackie Thomas Brown on July 18, 2009 in Matthiessen State Park.
He was employed by the City of LaSalle for 27 years as a Waste Water Operator. He was Co-Owner and Operator of Sparky Electric in LaSalle.
He was a Life Scout. His wife, family and friends always came first to him. His special times were on the bike with Jackie traveling with no destination and no disappointments.
He is survived by: His Wife
3 Sons: Jeff (Andrea) Carter of Arizona, Nicholas (Anna Klobnak) Brown of LaSalle, and Audie “AJ” James Brown of Miami Florida.
1 Daughter: Jennifer Wagner of Lasalle
5 Grandchildren
1 Brother: Jerry (Karen Foss) Carter of Utica
1 Sister: Gail Cain of Greensville SC.
Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
His 4-legged children; Lady Luck, Ace of Spades and Kiki.
He is preceded in death by his parents, A nephew (Bradley Carter) and his dog “Black Jack”
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
