Obituary for Mary C. Shannon
Mary C. Shannon 84 of Utica passed away peacefully at Heritage Health in Peru on August 17. Per her wishes cremation rights were accorded. She was laid to rest next to her husband; Raymond Sr. of 63 years. Fr Gregory Jarzombek of St. Bede Abbey officiated. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle handled the arrangements.
Mary was born February 9, 1938
She married the love of her life and her best friend, Raymond Shannon Sr. on October 11, 1958 at St. Mary’s Church in Utica.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Utica. She cherished throughout the years of being married to Raymond and being home with the children. Her friends meant a lot to her.
She is survived by four sons: Raymond Jr. (Kelly) of Yorkville, IL., Steve and James of Utica, and Robert of Fort Atkinson, WI.
She is preceded in death by: her husband (2021), her parents, and one sister.
