Obituary for Mary C. Boyer
Mary Catherine Boyer (Widman), 54, was taken to Heaven on February 2nd, 2022 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 5:56PM surrounded by her family after a long fight of complications from COVID-Pneumonia.
Mary was born in Spring Valley, Illinois to John and Elizabeth (Kmieciak) Widman. Mary is survived by her husband Robert Boyer Sr.; three children Brian (Tabatha) Young, Patrick (Brittany) Young, and Winona Young (Jake Allen); two stepchildren, Bob Boyer and Greg (Crystal) Boyer; half-brother Joel Widman; stepmom Judy Widman; step-granddaughter Kayleigh, and tons of other family and friends.
Mary was a Navy Veteran, who served in California for four years where she had Brian and Patrick. Mary then moved to North Idaho with her first husband where she had Winona. She spent close to two decades of her life working at Wal-Mart in many different positions. Mary volunteered at her children’s school in her free time. Mary moved home to LaSalle County in 2013 where she met Robert (Bob) Boyer Sr. They married in 2017 and have had a beautiful life together. Mary was always known to have a smile on her face and loved to joke with others. Her existence will be missed by everyone who has ever known her.
There will be two services held for Mary. The first one will be at Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle, IL on February 7th, 2022. Visitation will start at 4PM-6PM and a short service will follow. A flag folding ceremony will take place by the LaSalle -Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group.
The second service will be held in Northern Idaho (where her children reside). Details soon to come.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
