Obituary for Martin "Marty" Wren
Martin “Marty” Wren 59 of La Salle passed away peacefully April 8 at 10 PM at his residence. A Scripture Service will be April 13 at 7 PM in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. Fr Pica of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until the time of the service.
He was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in La Salle to Bernard and Sylvia (Castelli) Wren.
He married Mary Campbell in the former St. Rochs / Resurrection Church in La Salle on June 9, 1984.
He was employed for over 4o years to Ennis Inc formerly of Princeton, and now in Harvard, IL. He was a supervisor and collator operator.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Peru. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #792 of LaSalle. He enjoyed playing pool, and poker with his family and friends. He was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan. Grilling out in all seasons was a delight to him. He always cherished spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by:
His son Cody of La Salle.
2 Brothers: Christopher (Angela) Wren of La Salle, and Danny (Heidi) Wren of Oglesby.
Many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by: his loving wife Mary (2021), his parents, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and 2 brothers: Mark (2015), and Brent (2010)
In lieu of flowers memorials maybe directed to the family for his favorite charities.
