Marilyn Joiner 80, of Utica, IL passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 12:15 AM in IVCH Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, at 10:00 AM in the Utica Baptist Church with Pastor Lloyd Johnson officiating Burial in Oakhill Cemetery Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00-8:00 PM in Burgess Funeral Home in Utica, IL and Wednesday 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the Utica Baptist Church Born on July 23, 1933 to Fred and Helen (Donovan) Prentice Married Thomas Joiner on September 19, 1924 in the Utica Baptist Church Member of the Utica Baptist Church, Fireman's Auxilary, Utica Junior Women's Club, was the Church Financial Secretary for 30 years, and involved with the Vacation Bible School and Kid's Klub program for many years at the Utica Baptist Church. Marilyn devoted her life to serving God and her family and was a willing and faithful servant to those in need. Her loving kindness and quick sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
