Margaret “Peggy” Johnson 82 of Ottawa died September 24 at 1:40PM in La Salle County Nursing Home. Services will be Wednesday September 28 at 11 in the Burgess Funeral Home in Utica. Father Paul Carlson Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Utica will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be from 10 until the time of services.
She was born June 26, 1934 in Utica to Michael “Monty “and Elsie (Early) Carey.
She married Donald Johnson in St. Mary’s Church Utica on May 5, 1956.
She owned and operated the Winner’s Circle in Ottawa for six years. She was employed at K-Mart in Ottawa as a clerk.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Utica.
She is survived by:
2 Sons: Robert of Ottawa and Dennis of Arizona
1 Daughter: Lori (Ralph) Sanders of Ottawa.
1 Granddaughter: Kelli
1 Brother: Joseph (Teresa) Carey of Utica.
She is preceded in death by: her husband (2016), her parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters
