Margaret Mae Shevlin Fitzgerald, 91, of Bloomington formerly of Utica passed away at 7:38 PM, Saturday, April 8th, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. Hyacinth Church at 927 10th St LaSalle with Fr. Jacob Valle officiating
Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery in Utica
Visitation will beThursday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM in St. Hyacinth Church
Burgess Funeral Home in Utica in charge of arrangements
Born on May 9, 1925 in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley to Edward and Barbara (Schneider) Shevlin
Graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School, L-P High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing 3 year program in LaSalle certified as an RN in 1946.
She was a Nurse at St. Mary's in LaSalle, People's Hospital, IVCH and Heritage Manor Nursing Home
Married William A. Fitzgerald on February 8, 1947 in St. Joseph's Church in Peru
She was a very giving person to her family, friends, and neighbors and will be missed greatly.
She was

1 Daughter JoAnn Waibel, of Bloomington
1 Son Jack (Lori) Fitzgerald, of Bloomington;
1 Daughter-in-law Lisa Fitzgerald of Bloomington
1 Brother Donald (Jackie) Shevlin, of Peru.
11 Grandchildren
Nathan, Jacob, Matthew, Angela, Nicholas, Bailey, Kinsey, Meghan, Kale, Brock, and Paige
Preceded in death by Parents, Husband in 2000, 2 Sons David in infancy and Jay in 2010, 2 Brothers Edward and Thomas, and 4 Sisters Jean, Mary, Ruth Ann, and Bernice.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be directed to the family for Masses
