Obituary for Lucille Rose Pittman
Lucille Rose Pittman 96 of LaSalle passed away peacefully in her home January 8. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per her wishes there will be no services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is assisting the family.
She was born May 9, 1924 in Peru to Joseph and Mabel (Meyer) Siekierka.
She married Kenneth R. “Slim” Pittman Sr. on January 2, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1998.
Lucille was employed at the Telephone Company in LaSalle as an Operator. The LaSalle Bus Company, and as a child care provider.
She was an avid reader up until her time of death. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by:
1 Son: Michael A. (Kerry) Pittman of LaSalle.
3 Grandchildren: Jeffrey Carboni of LaSalle, Lisa (Matt) Schneider of LaSalle, and Kenneth R. Pittman III of Eden Prairie MN.
3 Great-Grandchildren: Andrew Pohar, Alyssa Schneider, and Madison Schneider all of LaSalle.
1 Great-Great Granddaughter: Allison Schrader of LaSalle.
1 Brother: Richard Siekierka of Oregon.
Many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband (1998), 2 Sons: Kenneth R. (Vickie) Pittman Jr. (2015), Timothy J. (Bonnie) Pittman.
4 Sisters: Shirley Groleau, Dolores Waskiewicz, Betty Monari, and Dorothy Rimmele.
2 Brothers: Donald Siekierka and Robert “Peanuts” Siekierka Sr.
