Obituary for Lottie Samolinski
Lottie Samolinski 89 of La Salle passed away April 6 at 9:56AM at IVCH Emergency Room in Peru shortly after arrival. A funeral mass will be Monday April 10 at 11 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. Fr. Jacob Valle of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be Monday in the Church from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
She was born May 13, 1927 in St. Mary’s Hospital La Salle to Frank and Mary (Dziencol) Biniek.
She married Chester Samolinski on February 10, 1948 in St. Hyacinth Church La Salle
She was employed by Westclox in Peru for 25 years working the assembly line. She was housewife all the time. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church
Her favorite times were holidays, and having her family around. She enjoyed the outdoors and constantly had a broom in her hands. Her sidewalks were cleanest in town. She was known to tip one or two when the occasion called for it. There was a consistent out cry about the “boomba’s” (sneakers).
She is survived by;
A son Dale (Gloria) Samolinski of Peru, 1 sister Theresa Knaff of La Salle
3 granddaughters; Lisa (Ross) Weber, Melissa and Ivy Samolinski
4 great grandchildren; Jessica, Ross (Cudda) Weber, Jasmine Samolinski, Jack Morgan Kraushaar
Several nieces and nephews Former daughter in law Rose Samolinski
She is preceded in death by;
her husband (1985, 1 son David “Corky” Samolinski (2011),
3 sisters: Rose, Pat and Florence, 2 brothers John and Stanley
2 grand children at infancy, a special friend Ray Platt
