Obituary for Loretta Harmon
Loretta (Lindenmier) Harmon 95 of Utica died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 1:50 AM in Romeoville
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 23rd at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church in Utica with Rev. Michael Driscoll and Msgr. James Swaner officiating
Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Utica
Visitation on Sunday, April 22nd from 3:00 - 6:00 PM in Burgess Funeral Home in Utica with a rosary being recited at 5:30 PM also on Monday 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the church
Born on June 7, 1922 in Dimmick to Joseph and Emily (McGrath) Lindenmier
She was a 1940 graduate of LaSalle Peru High School. A 1943 registered nurse graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing, with a 45 year nursing career at St. Mary’s and neighboring community hospitals as well as home care nursing.
Married Kenneth Harmon on January 17, 1945 in Sacred Heart Church in Dimmick
She was a founding member of the Neighborhood Ladies Variety Card Club organized in 1951. Past President of Waltham Grade School PTA, Past treasurer of St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society and Parish Council. She was the recipient of the Diocese of Peoria Marquette Award, Oblate of St. Benedict, Volunteer for Red Cross and Hauser Ross Eye Clinic, and Past member and officer of Waltham Women’s Curling Club.
Loretta was best known for being a life long caregiver to all those in her path.

Survivors
Daughter Maureen (Louis) Cole of Plainfield
2 Sons Gary (Louise) Harmon and Edward (Jane) Harmon both of Utica
7 Grandchildren Christopher, Jason, Nicholas, Matthew, and Luke Harmon, Melissa (Mike) Harms and Emilia (Scott) Stein.
3 Great Grandchildren Colin, Jonathan, and Tristan Harmon.
Preceded in death by Parents, Husband Kenneth in 2010, 3 Sisters Mary Catherine, Monica Kozel, and Florence Blalack, 2 Brothers Lester and Gilbert Lindenmier
