Obituary for Leonard "Len" Pietrowski
Leonard “Len” Pietrowski Sr. 97 formally of LaSalle and Streator passed away peacefully January 29 at 7:53 AM at LaSalle County Nursing Home in Ottawa. There will be private services and burial at his request. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
He was born May 25, 1923 in LaSalle to Joseph and Veronica (Nowakowski) Pietrowski.
He married Ann Wrobleski in 1943. They were married 47 years until her untimely death in 1990.
He married Shirley Snyder in 1993 They were married 21 years until she passed in 2014.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth Parish. He owned and operated his own painting service for over 35 years.
He extremely enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and being at his campgrounds. He loved being with family and friends.
He is survived by:
2 Sons: Rod (Lori) Pietrowski of LaSalle, and Leonard (Butch) (Marie) Pietrowski of LaSalle.
2 daughters: Renee (Dan) Lavlin of O’Fallon Missouri, and Karen (Mickey) Foley of The Villages Florida.
Step Daughter: Lori Conerton of LaSalle.
6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by:
His 2 wives: Ann 1990, and Shirley in 2014. 3 brothers: Chester, Edward, and Edmund.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
