Obituary for Leo J Nosalik
Leo J Nosalik 84 of LaSalle passed away December 25 at 1:47PM in Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator IL. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday December 29 in St Hyacinth Church in LaSalle at 11:00AM. Very Reverend Antonio Dittmer Pastor of LaSalle Catholic Churches will officiate. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be Saturday Morning from 9 to until the time of services in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. He was born on February 26, 1928 in LaSalle Illinois to John and Sophie (Sala) Nosalik. He married Joyce Moeller on September 28, 1952 in Holy Family Church in Oglesby IL. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific in the Marina Islands of Guam, Saipan and Tinion He was hired by the City of LaSalle in 1952 as a Police Officer. He was later employed by the LaSalle Public Elementary Schools for many of years as a custodian. For 26 years he served the City of LaSalle as an Alderman in the 4th Ward. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle and was an usher for many of years. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, gardener, enjoyed cooking with his smoke house and a white sox fan. Suvivors: His wife, 2 Sons; Michael (Vicki) of LaSalle and Daniel (Roseanne) of LaSalle 1 brother; John (Margaret) Nosalik of LaSalle 5 Grandchildren; Christopher (Jennifer), Shaun, Kylie, Nathan, and Nick Nosalik. 4 Great Grandchildren; Michael, Branden, Baylie, and Mason Nosalik.
