Leland E 'Lee' Glubczynski, 71, of Ottawa, passed away at 3:42 AM, Thursday, July 17th, at OSF - ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER, PEORIA Visitation will be held on Saturday 2:00 - 4:00 PM in BURGESS FUNERAL HOME in LaSalle Burial at a later date with Pastor Scott Fulkerson officiating Born on June 20, 1943 in LaSalle to Walter B. and Elsie C. (Bartels) Glubczynski Graduate of L-P High School. Attended and completed many classes and training sessions at IVCC and University of Illinois at Champaign. Veteran of the Armed Forces, having served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic from 1961-1965 Police officer in Rantoul, LaSalle, and Peru for 11 years. Served as a volunteer fireman with the Peru Fire Department. Member of founding Board of Directors for Peru Volunteer Ambulance Service Was an Engineering Technician V with Illinois Department of Transportation, retiring in 2003 as District 3 Services and Development Technician Served 6 terms as Vice Chairman for Ottawa Hi-Way Credit Union Board of Directors. Member of the Ottawa Chapter of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers, The Engineers Rod & Gun Club of Ottawa and American Legion Post 260 in Tonica where he was Legionaire of the Year in 1999 Survivors 1 Daughter Donna (Dave) Gualandri, of Ottawa; 1 Son Darryl (Melissa) Glubczynski, of Williamston, SC; 1 Brother Melvin, of Petersburg IL. 5 Grandchildren Katie Moriarity, Colin, Emily, and Ian Glubczynski, and Caley Chastain 1 Great Grandson Aiden 5 Nieces and Nephews Preceded in death by Parents and 1 Brother Donald in1994 Online condolences may be viewed and expressed at http://www.burgessfh.com/
