Kenneth “Glubb” Glubczynski 78 of Showlow AZ formerly of La Salle passed away March 19, 2017 at 5:41PM in Honor Health Hospital in Scottsdale AZ. A memorial mass will be Monday July 3 at 10 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. Father Jacob Valle of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be in the church on Monday from 9 until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
He was born on June 21, 1938 in La Salle to Leonard and Cecilia (Owiecki) Glubczynski.
He was a graduate of St. Bede Academy. He attended Quincy College in Quincy IL. He furthered his education and received his Master’s Degree in the field of Psychology from Fort Hays State University in Hays Kansas.
He married Diane Fahel on August 9, 1969 in Peoria, IL
He was employed by the Tazwell-Mason County School District in Pekin IL until 2003. He relocated to Showlow AZ and was employed by the White River Untied School District.
He was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church Showlow AZ where he sang in the choir. Being devoted to his faith he demonstrated throughout his life; kindness, helpfulness, and comfort to all. He was involved in a wide range of hobbies ranging from outdoor activities to wrestling where he won many awards, to just listening to classical music or watching a western. He was always ready for a good meal and dessert. His greatest passion was sharing time with his family and friends.
He is survived by;
2 daughters: Rebecca Glubb of Scottsdale AZ, Julie (Theron) Marcello of Orlando FL
1grandson: Hunter Marcello
1 sister: Kristine (Frank) Borkowsky of Ottawa
1 Aunt: Helen Gross of Peru
Several nieces and nephews including Tim (Ana) Borkowsky of Chicago) and Jennifer (Paul) Schwarzbach of San Francisco CA
1 special friend Diane Glubb of Orlando FL.
