Kathy L. De Lao, 66, of Bureau passed away peacefully with her loving husband and family at her side on September 14 in her residence. Visitation will be Sunday September 18 from 1pm- 3pm, Service will follow starting at 3pm in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle. Pastor Eric Thompson will officiate. Following the service will be a dinner at the Community Building in Bureau, Il. Cremation rites will take place afterwards.
Kathy was born on April 9, 1956 to Donald and Alice (Mosser) Paschal in Monmouth, IL.
She married her best friend and the love of her life, Roman De Lao on June 20, 1977 in Burlington, IA.
For over fifteen years she was employed by Riverfront Machinery as a machinist.
She was a Christian and worship at several churches throughout her life.
She was always a farm girl at heart. She had a never-ending love for her family and friends, and most of all her grandchildren. She gave care and compassion to anyone she came in contact with. She was always eager to volunteer in either raising money or cooking for others in need. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude.
She is survived by her husband of forty-five years Roman De Lao.
One Son: Isaias (Wendy) De Lao of Freeport, IL.
Three Daughters: Shelita (Jason) Reeves of St. James MO., Shantel (Keith) Campbell of Oglesby, and Martha (Andrew) Carlson of La Salle.
Thirteen grandchildren.
Three Brothers: Donald (Joyce) Paschal, Philip (Erik) Paschal, and Ronald (Wendy) Paschal.
Three Sisters: Jacquelin Rule, Peggy Rider, and Flora June Robinson.
Many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her Parents, One Sister (Angie)
Two Brother in- laws; Randy Robinson, and Melvin Rider.
Father In-Law: David M. Delao, Mother In-Law: Guadalupe Zimenez, and Sister In-Law: Genoveba Felix.
