Mr. Joseph J 'Stack' Stachowicz, 90 , of LaSalle, passed away , 7:45 PM on Thursday, May 31, at Illinois Valley Comm Hospital Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 4th in St. Patricks Church with Rev. Robert Rayson officiating. Burial in St. Valentine's Cemetery Visitation on Sunday June 3rd from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle and 9:00 - 10:00 AM on Monday in St. Patrick's Church Born in Peru,. on August 20, 1921, to Anton and Katarzyna (Krysztoforski) Stachowicz He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. Worked as a machinist for Westclox and Caterpillar Member of St. Patrick's Church and LaSalle V.F.W. Married Phyllis Koontz on Feburary 8, 1947 in St. Patrick's Church in LaSalle Survivors Wife Phyllis 2 Daughters, Linda (Larry) Rybarczyk of LaSalle. Susan (Michael) Ruppert of Sugarland Texas 2 Sons David (Joanne) Stachowicz of LaSalle. Joseph (Mary) Stachowicz of LaSalle. 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by Parents, 7 Sisters and 4 Brothers In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be directed to the family Pallbearers will be the Grandchildren Regan Rybarczyk, Rachel DiGiovanni, Neill, Lauren, Kayla, and Kevin Stachowicz , Michael Ruppert Sarah Waedemon and Dr. Thomas Curry Full Military services will be conducted by the LaSalle/Oglesby Veterens Memorial Group Online condolences may be viewed and expressed at www.burgessfh.com
