Mr. Joseph Credi, 83, of Peru, formerly of LaSalle passed away unexpectedly at 12:54 PM, Saturday, December 8th, 2012 at OSF - ST. FRANCIS MEDICAL CENTER Funeral Mass will be held at ST. HYACINTH'S CHURCH at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 13th, with Rev. Ronald Margherio O.S.B. officiating. Burial in St. Hyacinth Cemetery Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 - 7:00 PM and Thursday 9:00 - 10:00 AM in St. Hyacinth Church LaSalle. Scripture service at 6:30 PM on Wednesday. Born in Ladd, on October 19, 1929, to Fred and Maria (Piccioni) Credi. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict Married Betty Ryczek on June 20, 1953 in St. Hyacinth Church Worked as a millright for many years Member of St. Hyacinth Church Enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, wood working , gardening, bocce ball, and horseshoes Survivors 1 Daughter, Kris (John) Hitchins of Plainfield. 2 Sons Ken Credi of LaSalle., Mark (Ellen) Credi of Peru. 1 Sister, Mary Wold of Ottawa. 1 Brother Dominic (Marilyn) Credi of California. 6 Grandchildren Briton and Caity Hitchins, Sara (Jason) Loutsch, Kendall, Luke and Max Credi 2 Great Grandchildren Jackson and Caden Loutsch Special Friend and Longtime Companion Jeanette Korosec of Peru Preceded in death by Parents, Wife in 1988, 3 Brothers and 1 Sister In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be directed to St. Bede Academy Pallbearers will be Briton and John Hitchins, Tom Credi, Tony Bergandi, Mike Smith, and Jerry Nicoli Online Condolences may be viewed and expressed at www.burgessfh.com
