Obituary for Jim A Romano
James A. “Jim” Romano 75 of La Salle passed away Sunday Sept 3 at 7:38AM in Heritage Manor in Peru. Services will be Thursday Sept 7 at 7:00PM in the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle. Fr. Gregory Jarzombek of St. Bede Abbey will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 until the time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is handling the arrangements.
Jim was born on Sept 29, 1941 in La Salle to Anthony and Josephine (Straub) Romano.
He married Diane Hart on June 3, 1961 in St. Joseph’s Church in La Salle.
He was the owner and operator of Flo’s tap in Peru for over 25 years. He worked for the Swift Meats Company of Rochelle, IL for 19 years where he was a meat cutter.
He enjoyed the outdoors with his family at his side. His most relaxing time was fishing or hunting
He is survived by; his wife

1 Daughter: Debi Romano of Peru
1 Granddaughter: Sydney
1 Step-Brother: Kevin (Nancy) Murrary of Rushville, IL
2 Step Sisters: Susan (Bill) Seymore of Macomb IL, and Shari (Martin) Edwards of Rushville, IL
Several nieces and nephews
He preceded in death by his parents.
