Obituary for Jane M. Young
Jane M. Young, 71, of Mendota passed away unexpectedly on July 14 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Peru. Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial visitation will be Wednesday July 27 from 4 to 7 at the Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle.
Jane was born on January 31, 1951 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Gordon W. and Evelyn Mae (Metcalf) Kramer. She was one of nine siblings.
Jane married Gary Young in May of 1981 in Carpentersville, Illinois.
She was employed for over ten years as a sales associate at various businesses in the Illinois Valley.
Jane loved vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico. She enjoyed listening to music while sitting on her patio while enjoying sunsets, watching for her hummingbirds, and enjoying a margarita. Spending as much time as possible with her family and friends was close and dear to her heart.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years. 1 son and daughter-in-law and grandson also survive, as does one daughter. 4 brothers, and sisters survive, as do multiple nieces and nephews. Several souls who were lucky enough to find Jane during their lifetime and call her mom also survive. All were blessed to know and love her. She is preceded by her parents, Gordon and Evelyn.
