Obituary for James S. Vallero

James S. Vallero 75 of Dalzell passed away peacefully on April 24th at Manor Court in Princeton. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle on Thursday May 2nd at 11AM. The Very Reverend Tom Otto, Pastor of LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded by the LaSalle / Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group. A memorial visitation will be Thursday in the funeral home from 10AM until the time of services.

James was born on September 19, 1948 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.

He served his country through the branch of the Army.

He married the love of his life, Lucy Siembab on June 30th, 1973 at St. Hyacinth Church.

For over thirty years, he owned and operated Vallero’s Bakery. After leaving the business, for twenty one years he worked in the bakery at Hy Vee in Peru. He a was quiet man who cherished being with his family, friends, and most of all his granddaughters.

He is survived by: his wife of fifty years. His two children; Brian (Elisa Dolan) Vallero of LaSalle, and Brianna (Bruce) Washkowiak of Sycamore, IL. His two granddaughters; Brooklyn, and Brynlee.
