Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" Koster
Gerald “Jerry” Koster 62 of LaSalle passed away peacefully at Parker Nursing Rehabilitation Center, in Streator on November 29th. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be Saturday December 21st at 11 AM at the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. The Very Reverend Tom Otto, Pastor of LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Private burial will be later. A memorial visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until 11AM.
Jerry was born on September 14, 1962 at St. Margaret’s Hospital, in Spring Valley to Matthew and Lucille (Gredzielewski) Koster.
He worked many years throughout the Illinois Valley, in retail delivery.
He enjoyed working on older vehicles. He was a past member of the Rod and Gun Club. He loved the outdoors in many facets; hunting, fishing, and most of all dirt bike riding. Watching football or the White Sox, he was a true fan to all. He mostly cherished being around family friends sharing stories, and just being together and just being a “Prankster”
He is survived by: one brother; Jim (Amy) Koster of Peru. Two sisters; Nancy (Bruce) Gualandri of Spring Valley, and Diane (Dale) Pienta of Spring Valley. Several nieces and nephews.
