Obituary for Frank Korosec
Frank Korosec 91 of LaSalle died unexpectedly in his residence on November 30 at 8:03 AM.
A funeral mass will be Tuesday December 4 at 11 AM in St. Hyacinth Church in LaSalle. The Very Reverend Paul Carlson Pastor of LaSalle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Hyacinth Cemetery. A flag folding ceremony will be conducted by the LaSalle / Oglesby Veterans Group. Visitation will be Tuesday in the Church from 9:30 AM till the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling the arrangements.
He was born on December 18, 1926 in LaSalle to Louis and Louise (Ganoni) Korosec
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Frank married Lucille Samolinski on September 23, 1950 in St. Hyacinth Church.
He was employed by the United States Post Office for 35 years, and retired as a Postal Supervisor.
Frank was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and St. Stephen’s Society of St. Hyacinth Church He coach in LaSalle Little League Baseball, and belonged to the Choppers Club. Frank was a loyal fan of the LP Cavaliers, Chicago White Sox and the Fighting Illini.
He is survived by:
His wife Lucille
1 Son: David Korosec of Freeport Il.
2 Daughters: Debra (Don) Vegovisch of Dolton IL, and Donna (James) Burke of Palatine IL.
3 Grandchildren: Keaton Korosec, Korey Korosec and Katie Burke.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by:
His parents, 1 Son Dennis who passed away on November 30 1975, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
