Francis “Frank” Ksiazak, 81, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2024. His memorial service is planned for Thursday, Dec. 12, with visitation beginning at 5 p.m., followed by a brief service at 7 p.m. at the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle. Pastor Robert Perez Pastor of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church will officiate.
During his life, he was steadfast in his love for his family and dogs. He supported them with his talent as a tool and die machinist, often working late shifts to allow him to spend time at the kid’s events. He was always willing to step in to coach one of the kid’s sports teams when needed. A fan of all sports, his time living in Wisconsin meant he wound up cheering for both the Bears and the Packers. Frank made everyone feel welcome and spent many nights playing cards and visiting with friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pauline; his five children — Frank (Marianne), Christine (August) Wilke, Mike (Jeanne), Joe (Correna), and Jill (Tom) Riordan. His grandchildren include Laken, August, Allesyn, and Wes Wilke; Ian, Emma, and Isabella Ksiazak, and Austin and Tyler Ksiazak. His great-granddaughter Lily, brought him constant joy. He also leaves sisters Jeanette (Dave) Putrich and Mary Jo (Rich) Kepper, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents Frank and Josephine and his beloved dogs Luger, Toby, and Lily.
