Obituary for Ethel J. Bregant
Ethel J. Bregant 94 of La Salle passed away Sunday July 8 at 11:58PM in Manor Court in Princeton. A funeral mass will be Saturday July 14 at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle. Fr. Kyle Lucas of La Salle Catholic Parishes will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery. Visitation will be in the church Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.

She was born September 21, 1923 in Mark Illinois to Ignatius and Ursulla (Ostanek) Novak.

She married Frank Bregant on October 21, 1950 in St. Roch’s Church in La Salle

For 9 years she worked in Chicago as secretary. For 25 years she was employed by L-P High School as a secretary.

She was a member of St. Hyacinth Church, and a member of SNPJ (Slovenska Narodna Podporna Jednota)
Survivors are:
1 Son: David (Janet) Bregant of Gilbert, Arizona, 1 Daughter: Donna (Tony) Sorcic of Princeton, IL.

3 Grandchildren: Christopher (Hannah) Sorcic of Chicago, Michael Sorcic of Chandler, Az.
Eric Bregant of Chandler, Az.

1 Sister: Madeline Kozuba of Peru.

3 Great grand dogs: Wrigley, Diego and Ellie.

Preceded in death by:
her husband in 2001, 7 Sisters: Mary Bradach, Dorothy Ball, Mildred Reid, Lucille Lemke, Faye Schafer, Joan, and Ann Novak. 2 Brothers: Raymond and Iggy Novak.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for her favorite charities.
