Obituary for Edward "Sharkey" Sitarz
Edward "Sharkey" Sitarz 98 of Peru passed away Saturday August 27 in the La Salle Veterans Home in La Salle.
A funeral mass will be Thursday September 8th at 10 at St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle. FR. Pica of La Salle Catholic parishes will officiate. Full military rites will be conducted at the church by the La Salle / Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet IL. Visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 9 until the time of services.
He served his country through the branch of the Marines.
On October 4, 1952 he married Lois Hendricks who passed in 2010.
He is survived by his daughter Lori (Brian) Smith of Naperville, IL.
