Obituary for Dwight Munson
Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 7:55 AM, Dwight Munson 62, of Waltham Twp. was taken suddenly from this world. He was a great man that will continue to impact people through the legacy he left behind.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 22nd at 11:00 AM in Abundant Life Fellowship Church in LaSalle with Kel Steiner officiating, Pastor’s Ed and Lloyd Curry arranging. 
Burial in Waltham Cemetery
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 21st from 4:00 - 7:00 PM and Monday 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the Church
Burgess Funeral Home in Utica is in charge of arrangements

Dwight was born on April 6, 1955 in LaSalle to Duane and Grace (Gordon) Munson
Married Naomi Curry on May 8, 1988 in LaSalle
He was a farmer until founding Munson Excavating & Septic, Inc. As a young man, he was involved with Motorcross and the Waltham Curling Club, in which he led his team to the nationals. He was a second degree black belt in the American Association of Taekwondo. He also placed Second in the Middleweight Championship of the World Cup Taekwondo Champion Tournament in Argentina, and was instrumental in starting the Taekwondo program at the Lasalle YMCA. 
He was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church. In the past, he had been a member of the Gideons, assisted in three church plants, and was involved in various missions. He enjoyed history and was an avid reader. His greatest pride was in his children, the people they became, and made great efforts to be active in their lives.
Dwight was loved and respected by many. He will be greatly missed.
