Obituary for Dolores Kowalski
Dolores Kowalski 89 of Peru passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side in her residence on October 14. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be at a later date. The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
She was born on December 25, 1932 in La Salle to James and Pearl (Panneck) Rotsart.
She married the love of her life; Eugene Kowalski on November 16, 1957 in La Salle at St. Patrick Church. They were married for ten years until his untimely death on October 15, 1968.
She was the first female custodian of the Peru Public School District. She was employed by the school district for over twenty years. She was a member of St. Valentine Church in Peru. She loved and adored her family, especially taking care of the grandchildren. She loved taking care of her home and always found some type cleaning to do. She always made time for her family and friends.
She is survived by:
Two Daughters: MaryKay (Mark) Wozniak of Peru, and Sheri (Benjamin) Philhower of Riverview FL.
Five Grand Children: Michelle, Michael, and Matthew Wozniak, and Joshua Philhower and Gina Long.
Seven Great-Grand Children: Emalie, Adriana, Michael, Lidia, Natillie, Benjamin and Evelyn.
She is preceded in death by: Her husband in 1968, three brothers and two sisters.
