Dawn Pantenburg 73 of Peru passed away peacefully with family at her side on March 11th at Goldwater care in Princeton. Visitation will be Sunday March 16th in the Burgess Funeral Home in LaSalle from 1PM to 4PM. A Scripture Service will be at 3:30. Fr. Gregory Jarzombek OSB of St. Bede Abbey will officiate. Burial will be private.
Dawn was born on June 18, 1951 at People’s Hospital in Peru to Donald and Lois (Kroll) Jasper.
She was employed for several years in the food industry throughout the Illinois Valley. She worked in different capacities including management.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Peru. She enjoyed playing bingo when ever the opportunity arose. During the summer she took great pride in her gardening. She adored and cherished spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren whom meant the world to her.
She is survived by her daughter; Jodi Birkenbeul, her two grandchildren; Kyle and Michael Birkenbeul. One niece, and two nephews. Her fury four-legged friend “Rudy”. He was her traveling companion, and great listener. He brought her great Joy.
She is preceded in death by; her parents, and one brother; Gary Jasper.
